Bloomberg quoted the Emergencies Ministry said 1 man died in a gas explosion in a disused Ukrainian state owned coal mine in the eastern Donetsk region.

The ministry said the September 5th blast in the 60 Rokiv Radyanskoyi Ukrainy mine, injured three people who were hospitalized with burns.

According to the statement, the accident happened at 8:40 PM local time after the men had descended into the pit, which had been closed for two years, without authorization.
