Ukrainian Journal reported that the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has proposed to the government to increase financing of labor protection and safety measures at coal mines in 2012.

Mr Ihor Yaschenko head of the industrial safety and labor protection department at the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry said in May 2011 that the government approved a new state program for the next five years, under which the said area is financed.
