According to a survey conducted by China Coking Industry Association purchasing cost for coking coal in June increased by 71.36% compared with that in this year beginning and rose 94.84% YoY from that in last June.

On the other hand, cost for coke jumped 64.51% in Jun from that in Jan and surged 83.38% over that in last Jun.

Mr Huang Jingan chairman of CCIA said that, coking coal price in home market advanced for several times after Japan and Australia agreed that coking coal contract price will rocket to USD 300 per tonne from USD 98 per tonne in fiscal year 2008.

According to the survey, highest price for primary coking coal in Shanxi and Hebei exceeded CNY 2000 per tonne in late June in line with international price.
