Andrade said that "Ferrous Resources announced investments but has not disclosed details of what their plans are. But they might construct a pellet plant in Minas Gerais."
Andrade did not say what the plant's capacity would be.
The company has earmarked some USD 6 billion for investments which are expected to be directed to the mines of Serrinha and Esperança in Brumadinho and to Santanense in Itatiaiuçu in Minas Gerais' Iron Quadrangle. Ferrous Resource's plans also include funding for the Viga mine near compatriot steelmaker CSN's Casa de Pedra mine in Congonhas.
