
Times On Line reported that former state senator Mr John Pippy, who resigned June 30, is now the chief executive officer of the newly created Pennsylvania Coal Alliance.
The alliance was formed by the merger of the Pennsylvania Coal Association and Families Organized to Represent the Coal Economy.
Mr Pippy, R-37, Moon Township, resigned his seat after voting for the state budget.
The 41 year old Mr Pippy announced in January that he would not seek re election. He had been in the Senate since 2003 after serving seven years in the House representing the 44th Legislative District.
