It is reported that Hunan CDM Project Service Center registered a new hydropower project based in Zaoshi city, Hunan province with the UN CDM Executive Board. It is the center’s 28th registered CDM project.

The project along the Lishui River, Changde city is designed with 120MW installed power capacity. An average of 326,000MWh of electricity is sold to grids. The hydropower will be used by the Central China Grid. During the first crediting period, the CDM project is expected to avoid 317,863 tonnes of CO2e annually.
