
Ind-Barath Power Ltd's 450 MW (3x150 MW) coal based power project in Kannada district of Andhra Pradesh has received environmental clearance from the MoEF.
As per report the project is expected to entail an investment of INR 1,800 crore including INR 180 crore for environmental protection measures.
The land requirement for the project is estimated to be 223 acre. The project is likely to use a blend of imported and Indian coal, in a ratio of 80:20. The imported coal requirement is estimated to be 1.28 million tonne per annum and will be sourced from Indonesian collieries; the 0.32 tonne per annum of indigenous coal required will be sourced through e-auction.
