Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Council V S Ugrappa alleged that the state BJP leadership was involved in the looting of mines through illegal mining in Bellary district.
Talking to newspersons Mr Ugrappa alleged that the BJP leaders had no moral right to talk about national values before the people of the country when they themselves were not taking any action to stop illegal mining of iron ore by two mining corporations.
Claiming that it was a fitting case for CBI inquiry, Mr Ugrappa said that Mr B S Yeddyurappa chief minister should resign from the post as many of his ministerial colleagues were involved in the illegal mining.
He added that Congress would take the next step on this depending on the action taken by the State Government.
