It is reported that PT Indonesia Power will reduce coal supplies from PT Tambang Batu Bara Bukit Asam to its Suralaya Power Plant.
Mr Sukrisno CEO of Tambang Batu Bara Bukit Asam said "The coal supply for the plant should have been 6.1 million tonnes per year.”
However, the 2010 agreement can only supply 5.5 million tonnes of coal. The supply reduction took place since July 2009. At that time, Indonesia Power was asked to cut down the supply from a monthly 500.000 to 350.000 per month.
Mr Djoko Hastowo CEO of Indonesia Power denied the news saying, “The contract remains at 6.1 million tonnes per year with a 10% swing, so the basic margin is 5.5 million tonnes per year.
