
Indonesia’s Bisnis newspaper citing Mr Simon Sembiring director general of the mines and energy ministry as saying that Indonesia may produce 261.6 million tonnes of coal next year.
The newspaper said that the government plans to include coal output and price estimates in the country's 2009 budget adding to oil output and price estimates in the current budget.
The newspaper added that the government may use a coal price assumption of USD 30 per tonne to USD 62.57 per tonne, depending on the grade of the coal, in the 2009 budget.
