
Indonesian coal has won the joint tender by South Korean utilities placed by Korea Midland Power for the supply of sub-bituminous coal, according to the Tex Report. Only five Panamax shipments or 350,000 tonne of Indonesian coal was awarded of the original tender volume of 500, 000 tonne of coal with min CV of 4,600kcal/kg NAR. The tender was awarded at a price of about USD 102 per tonne FOB on a 6,080kcal/kg NAR basis.
Four Panamax shipments or 280kt of Russian coal is expected to win KOMIPO’s tender for 500kt of coal with min. CV 5,500kcal/kg. The price is likely to be about USD 112 per tonne FOB on a 6,080kcal/kg NAR basis, the Tex Report said. Meanwhile, Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) supply tender for 30kt of anthracite has been won by Vietnamese coal. Three companies were awarded the tender at a price of about USD 100 per tonne CFR on a GCV 5,000kcal/kg basis.
