
Sources learned from the regional government that ten coal mine projects in northern China's Inner Mongolia completed construction and came on stream in the first half of the year.
These coal mines, whose construction cost a total of CNY 2.328 billion, have a combined annual production capacity of 11.4 million tonnes. Of that, four projects are open pit mines with annual capacity of 3.6 million tonnes in total while the rest six are underground mines.
These mines are geographically distributed as follows:
One in Hulunbuir, with an annual output capacity of 3 million tonnes
One in Xilingol, 1.2 million tonnes
One in Hohhot, 0.6 million tonnes
Six in Ordos, totaling 4.8 million tonnes
One in Alxa League at 1.8 million tonnes per year
Among them, only one was newly constructed with capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum, eight technically innovated with capacity totaling 7.2 million tonnes and one industrial upgrading of 3.0 million tonnes.
