It is reported that International Coal has made a fast start to 2012 with three drill rigs turning at the South Blackall Project which is strategically located in a highly prospective region of south western Queensland.
With that momentum, a maiden JORC Resource for South Blackall is planned in the first half of 2012. Significant drilling has occurred over the last 2 days with coal seams and intersections occurring at levels consistent with 4 holes drilled in late 2011.
Downwire logging is being undertaken this week and will continue with all holes drilled.
The company has a 22 hole program to be completed in the short term.
International Coal has already confirmed a significant coal seam structure at the project. South Blackall has an exploration target of 8.8 billion tonnes of thermal coal.
