
Mr Sriprakash Jaiswal union minister of coal has urged the Jharkhand government to bring all its allocated coal blocks in operation as early as possible to ensure more availability of coal.
During a meeting with the chief minister of Jharkhand, Mr Arjun Munda Mr Jaiswal said that the centre may reconsider the deallocation of two coal blocks to the state in view of special circumstances and reasons explained by the state for the delay.
During the meeting the chief minister was urged to provide more security to facilitate night loading of coal on normal working days as in some areas large quantity of pitted coal needs immediate dispatch. It was also pointed out to the state that local forest clearance for some of the projects of the public sector coal companies are pending for a long time and needs to be expedited. The chief minister said that the state would look into these issues.
