It is reported that Jiangxi Coal Storage and Distribution Co Ltd which is co funded by Jiangxi branch of the China Power Investment Corporation and Jiujiang Port Company Ltd, Shanghai International Port Co Ltd will be built in Jiujiang city of Jiangxi province.

The JV in Xigang district of Jiujiang is designed with 10 million tonnes per year cargo throughput capacity and 1.2 million tonnes per year storage capacity. The first phase project with a planned 5 million tonnes per year throughput capacity is scheduled to be completed in 2011. The second phase will wind up by 2015. The project cost a total of CNY 1.5 billion with 6% or CNY 90 million channeled into environment.
