
According Electric Stations JSC, 8,500 tonnes of Kulan radioactive coal party is kept in Bishkek Heat Station.
Though Bishkek Heat Station assured that the coal of this party is not used on the heat station and there is no threat for life and health of citizens and the station's employees.
According the JSC, the coal party arrived at the heat station on September 15th 2011 to September 25th 2011.
The JSC said that "Analysis of caloricity, ash level and dampness of the party showed a nonconformance to specification's standard. As provided by a contract Electric Stations JSC refused to pay Kulan TB LLP on September as well. Electric Stations JSC is not a authorized public body for radiation monitoring. Besides, the JSC normative and regulative documents do not authorize such type of control. The JSC doesn't have necessary staff, equipment and positions. Bishkek Heat Station relies on radiation safety documents presented by carriers without fail, and authorized public institutions' standing order."
According the board, the information about high radiation level of the coal from Kulan coal field the JSC did not put obstacles for Deputy and a special inter departmental commission inspections as well cooperated with them in order to ascertain the situation.
There were 3 inspections with bringing experts of Nuclear and radiation agency of Ministry of Emergency Situations bureau, State Custom Service, Environmental Protection and forestry Agency.
