Reuters reported that Indian traders Adani were the lowest offer into state MMTC's 12.5 million tonne coal tender.

A senior MMTC official said that "The tender was opened on October 29th 2009 and the result will be announced on October 30th 2009.”

Agarwal Coal and Bhatia were the second and third-lowest offers into the tender.

MMTC is buying coal for supply over a 12 month period to state utility NTPC.
