According to Business Week, Mr Don Blankenship, former head of Massey Energy forced to resign when 29 coal miners lost their lives in a massive explosion and had been largely invisible since, has filed papers to start another coal mine venture.

Public records show that Mr Blankenship has incorporated a new venture in Kentucky. Paperwork for McCoy Coal Group Inc of Belfry, Ky, has been on file since January, though it is yet to seek a single mining permit.
