Reuters reported that Russian coal and steel producer Mechel sales of coking coal concentrate in the first nine months of the year rose 14% from the year-earlier period to 9.13 million tonnes.

The company also said steel output was almost flat at 4.501 million tonnes compared to 4.496 million tonnes in the year-earlier period.

Iron ore concentrate in the January to September period was 3.34 million tonnes up by 16%YoY.
