Bloomberg quoted Mr Bambang Setiawan DG of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry as saying that Medco Energi Internasional Tbk and PT Adaro Energi are among nine Indonesian companies interested in buying BHP Billiton Limited’s coal concession in Central Kalimantan.

The report said that BHP announced its decision to terminate the development of the Haju trial mine, one of 7 mines registered under the company’s Maruwai coal project in Central Kalimantan.
