
It is reported that Mr Kent Hartsog vice president at Patriot Coal Corp in Charleston has been re elected chairman of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
Mr Hartsog was first elected chairman last year. He was re elected during the chamber's annual business meeting at The Greenbrier Resort.
Also elected for the 2009-2010 term were: Mr Timothy Huffman a partner with the law firm Jackson Kelly, vice chairman; Mr Richard Adams, chairman and chief executive officer of United Bankshares Inc treasurer and Mr Thomas Jones president and chief executive officer of West Virginia United Health System, secretary.
Representatives from seven companies were newly elected to the chamber's Board of Directors. They are
1. Phyllis Arnold president of BB&T Corporation's West Virginia operations, Charleston
2. Patrick Gallagher president of Charles Ryan Associates, Charleston;
3. James Guidarini, site leader of The Dow Chemical Co's West Virginia operations, South Charleston;
4. Betty Ireland, former West Virginia Secretary of State and now a senior vice president at Professional Services of America Inc Charleston
5. Tommy Johnson vice president of government relations at Consol Energy Inc Canonsburg
6. Patrick Kelly Charleston managing partner of the law firm Steptoe & Johnson
7. Matthew Sheppard senior director of corporate development at Chesapeake Energy Corp Charleston
