Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited an undertaking under the ministry of coal has paid INR 313.92 crore dividend to the government for 2009-10. The undertaking has declared 10% dividend for the year.

Mr Sriprakash Jaiswal minister of coal was presented a dividend cheque of INR156.96 crore by the CMD of the NLC as second installment of the dividend for the year. The undertaking also paid INR 156.96 crore in the month of March to the government.

Mr Jaiswal appreciated the measures recently taken by the company to improve its performance and expressed the hope that the company would register better profit in the coming years.
