The Coke chemical segment comprises Altai Koks and its subsidiaries. Altai Koks is Russia’s largest nonintegrated coke producer.
In H1 2010 the Segment produced 1.7 million tonnes of coke a 25% growth YoY. In Q2 2010 coke production totaled 0.8 million tonnes a 2% growth QoQ.
H1 2010 coke sales volumes increased 22%YoY to 1.7 million tonnes with 67% delivered to the Lipetsk site. Substantial improvements in financial performance both YoY and QoQ are mainly attributable to an increase in operating results and growing market coke prices.
