Patriot Coal Corporation announced that Mr Philip A Brandt has been named vice president of Employee Services reporting to Mr Joseph W Bean senior vice president Law & Administration. In this role Mr Brandt will be responsible for employee relations, compensation & benefits and organizational development.

Mr Brandt has 19 years of experience overseeing human resources, safety and health organizations. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of Human Resources for GKN Aerospace.
