
PTI quoted officials said over 190 miners were rescued safely after a poisonous gas leaked in the underground coal mines of Dhanbad district.
They said altogether 191 miners were inside the mines when the incident occurred at Jeetpur colliery around 35 kilometers away from here, last evening.
Mr KLS Rao general manager of the colliery a subsidiary unit of the Steel Authority of India Limited said "It was a minor problem. The gas leakage has been sealed timely and miners are safe now."
Mr Rao along with officials and rescue team and entered the mines and sealed the leakage.
