It is reported that a 45 year old miner has died from serious injuries suffered in the Wujek-Slask coal mine accident.

The miner, a father of two who lived in Ruda Slaska died morning in the Centre for Treatment of Burns in Siemianowice Slaskie in the industrial region of Silesia. His death brought the death toll in the Wujek explosion to nineteen.

Twelve miners were killed and forty injured in a methane explosion in the Wujek-Slask colliery on 18 September. Seven miners died in hospitals because of severe body burns resulted from the accident. Twenty five people are still hospitalized one of them is in a serious state.

A special commission is investigating the cause of the explosion.
