AP reported that authorities have been arrested a dozen on suspicion of trespassing at the Salt River Project administration building in Tempe.
The dozen were protesting the effects of coal mining on the Big Mountain Navajo Nation in northern Arizona.
At least 75 protesters crowded the entryway and sidewalks of the building beginning at about 10:30 AM Friday.
Participants complained that SRP and Peabody Energy have been responsible for an assortment of environmental and health problems.
