It is reported that Rizhao Port received approval from the Shandong Bureau of National Development and Reform Commission to invest CNY 619.27 million for the reconstruction of two of its berths.

The project includes the conversion of the two berths into a 100,000 tonnes berth with annual throughput capacity of 2.30 million tonnes and the extension of the length of the wharf by 350 meters.

Construction of this project will take two years.
