It is reported that Semirara Mining Corp, the Consunji group’s coal mining arm, may produce up to 7 million tonnes of the mineral this year.

Mr Isidro Consunji president in an interview with reporters said that production target for 2011 year is similar to last year’s volume.

Mr Semirara said it produced more than 5 million tonne of coal as of end September 2010, from 3.379 million tonne for the whole of 2009.
