
Sources learnt from the provincial work safety bureau that Northwestern China’s Shaanxi province witnessed a year on year increase of 10.65 million tonnes in coal output to 118.91 million tonnes in the first four months.
The bureau said that specifically, coal produced in the key state-owned enterprises gained 7.69 million tonnes or 16.42% on year to 54.44 million tonnes from January to April, 23 million tonnes of which was from Shenhua Shendong Coal Group. And, local state-owned coal miners turned out 14.51 million tonnes coal, up by 2.38% from the same period last year.
Shaanxi sold a total of 117.92 million tonnes coal during the period, increasing 9.81% on year.
