
It is reported that leading Chinese coal producer China Shenhua Energy Co Ltd announced recently that its coal production kept stable in October, but sales dropped obviously month on month. Meanwhile, the company's electricity businesses displayed improving performances last month.
In October, Shenhua produced 17.1 million tonnes of coal up by 5.6%YoY but edging down by 1.16%MoM from the previous month. Its coal sales volume came to 21.2 million tonnes in October, jumping 11.6%YoY over the same period of last year but dropping 10.17%MoM from September including 1.2 million tonnes for exports, soaring 20%YoY but slipping 7.69%MoM.
Last month Shenhua produced 10.13 billion KWH of electricity up by 40.9%YoY and 2.32%MoM over September. It sold 9.44 billion KWH of electricity, surging 66.5%YoY and 2.28%MoM.
