
South Korean KOMIPO buys 260000 tonnes coal
Reuters reported that Korea Midland Power Co Ltd has bought 260,000 tonnes of Indonesian coal for January through June delivery but passed on tenders to buy 2 million tonnes of high calorific value coal.
The utility bought the sub-bituminous coal for delivery between January 1 and June 30 at about USD 98 per tonne on a free on board basis for 6,080 kilocalories per kilogram. Tenders to buy 4 million tonnes of coal closed on November 18.
