It is reported that a rotary air blast drilling program will further define the identified target of surface hematite at the Emergent Resources Beyondie Iron Ore Project, located in the mid west region of Western Australia.
Beyondie composite surface rock chip samples have returned up to 63.37% Fe over 10 metres and a 53.18% Fe average over 140 metres.
Emergent will drill 559 holes for 6 kilometers on a nominal 800 meters by 50m spacing to test the continuity, extent and quality of surface hematite mineralization identified in the field at two broad localities, along the Beyondie Magnetite magnetic high.
Secondly, 442 exploration holes will test the surface hematite mineralization along the 12.8 kilometers strike, and a further 117 holes will test the mineralization along a strike length of 6.6 kilometers, located 10 kilometers east of the Beyondie Magnetite deposit. Emergent has estimated a three week turnaround time for the combined drilling programs, with results expected in early 2011.
Beyondie is located adjacent to the Great Northern Highway, 160 kilometers from the iron mining centre of Newman.
Emergent Resources Limited sees the present and foreseeable demand for resource commodities such as iron, base metals and precious metals remaining strong. The Company has successfully negotiated a joint venture to earn up to 80% equity (from De Grey Mining Limited) of the potentially important Beyondie Iron Project and an option (subject to ASX listing) to acquire base metal, gold and uranium granted exploration licenses and applications from Pandell Pty Limited and Oakover Gold Limited.
Emergent's strategy is to effectively define and develop the company's Beyondie Iron Project exploration in conjunction with existing strong geological and structural association of lead zinc and copper gold mineralized targets.
