
Taiwan Electric Power (Taipower) has cancelled tender TPC10004 for the spot supply of 700kt of min 5,700kcal/kg bituminous coal after all offers received were above the ceiling price set by the power utility.
According to The Tex Report,offers received for Taipower’s second supply tender TPC1004-GS for 1.19kt of min 5,000kcal/kg sub bituminous coal for delivery between July and October were also above the ceiling price set by Taipower.
A total of 2.66 million tonne of Indonesian coal were offered for this tender. Of the 17 Panamax shipments shortlisted, 15 shipments were within the range for negotiations and are being evaluated while the offer price of two shipments were rejected. Advance Trading and Glencore are among the companies which are believed to have submitted bids.
