
Tajikistan doubles coal production in 8 months
news.tj reported that Tajikistan has produced some 300,000 tonnes of coal over the first nine months of this year, which is 125,000 tonnes or 75% more than in the same period last year.
According to the Ministry of Energy and Industries, more than 305,000 tonnes of coal have been delivered over the report period, which is 171,000 tonnes more than in January-September last year
In Tajikistan, coal comes mainly from the following coalfields: Fon-Yaghnob; Vuromun; Shurob; Ziddi, Sayod, and Shouroobod.
