It is reported that exploratory teams are continuing to look for hazards inside the West Virginia mine where 29 men died in the worst US coal industry disaster in 40 years.
The federal Mine Safety and Health Administration said that teams resumed exploring Virginia-based Massey Energy Co's Upper Big Branch mine at 7:39 AM on Monday. As of mid afternoon, MSHA said that no significant issues had been identified.
The teams are trying to make sure it's safe for investigators to begin combing the southern West Virginia mine for clues to the April 5 explosion. The blast is the subject of civil and criminal investigations.
