Express News Service reported that adelegation of Telugu Desam Party demanded the Chief Minister Mr K Rosaiah to halt mining of iron ore in Anantapur district in the wake of findings of Forest Department that Obulapuram Mining Company was mining the ore without permission.

The delegation comprising MLAs Mr M Narasimhulu, Mr R Chandrasekhara Reddy, Mr A Revanth Reddy and E Uma Madhava Reddy met the Chief Minister.

Speaking to media, they alleged that though the OMC was robbing the State treasury, the Government was not taking any action. They wanted the mining should be stopped forthwith and the machinery be seized.

M Narasimhulu wants the Chief Minister to call an all party meeting on the issue and place the files pertaining to issue of lease agreements given to the OMC.
