
Reuters reported that prompt thermal coal prices drifted around 30 to 50 US cents a tonne lower on Monday on tepid buying interest but the drop was limited because a weak dollar and steady oil prices offered support.

A November DES ARA cargo traded at USD 89.00, unchanged.
An October loading South African cargo traded at USD 86.65 a tonne FOB Richards Bay, unchanged, via brokers.
PRICES
An October loading South African cargo was bid at USD 83.75 and offered at USD 88.00, down 25 cents on the bid.
A November South African cargo was bid 50 cents lower at USD 84.00 and offered at USD 87.75.
An October delivery DES ARA cargo was offered at USD 88.00, also down 50 cents.
A November DES ARA cargo was offered at USD 89.50, little changed.
Prices for both delivered Europe and FOB cargoes have been range bound between USD 83 to USD 89 a tonne for a few weeks and while no dramatic price moves are expected
