Interfax reported that two engineers were killed in the Oktyabrskaya mine in the city of Kriviy Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine on Tuesday.

Ukrainian emergency situations ministry in a statement said that “Two people sustained serious injuries and subsequently died after a guide track of a bucket buckled at a depth of 1,190 meters while they were being lifted to the surface.”

The ministry said that their bodies were retrieved at 10.30 PM
