According to the official data for the first seven months of the current year, Ukrainian exports of metallurgical coke increased by 59.9%YoY to 1.216 million tonnes worth a total of USD 458.23 million. In July alone, coke exports from Ukraine increased by 46%MoM to 207,440 tonnes and were up 26.3%YoY.

In the first seven months of 2011, Ukraine registered decrease of 66%YoY in its metallurgical coke imports to 70,000 tonnes worth USD 27.09 million. In July alone, Ukraine metallurgical coke imports increased by 2.9 times compared to June to 17,960 tonnes and increased by 7.5 times compared to July 2010.

Ukraine iron ore exports in January to July increased by 4.6%YoY to 19.444 million tonnes worth a total of USD 2.089 billion. In July alone, Ukraine iron ore exports decreased by 9.7% compared to June to 2.782 million tonnes worth USD 312.99 million.
