VDM Group has won contracts to develop and build facilities at Rio Tinto's Brockman 4 iron ore mine. The USD 17 million contracts will see VDM's Western Operations provide the engineering design work and construction of a new plant maintenance workshop, heavy vehicle fuel facility, and related infrastructure, as well as additions to the mine's existing village facilities.
Work is expected to begin late next month and run over six months.
Mr Andrew Broad MD of VDM stated that "This project sees VDM achieve another important step in our transformation and strategy to increase our activity in the resources sector.”
VDM's Western Operations were also recently awarded USD 10 million in contracts for bulk earthworks in residential construction, as well as work with Western Power and CBH.
Mr Broad added that "The award of the Mingenew Q Type Capital Sealing project by CBH is particularly pleasing as it is the largest in a series of Hyparspace solutions for CBH.”
