
State owned Vietnam National Coal Mineral Industries Group aims to export 16.5 million tonne of coal in 2011, down from an estimated 19.2 million tonne exported in 2010, Dow Jones reported.
This follows reports that Vinacomin will produce a targeted 44 million tonne of coal this year, down from an estimated 50 million tonne produced in 2010.
Meanwhile, Mr Tran Xuan Hoa CEO of Vinacomin told Vietnam News Agency the company was targeting sales of 27.5 million tonne up from 23.3 million tonne in 2010.
