WDS Mining Division has won a two year contract extension worth AUD 20 million from Xstrata Coal to provide installation works at its Tahmoor Colliery in New South Wales, Australia. The renewed contract has an option to be extended for a further 12 months.

Under the terms of the contract, WDS will install secondary roof support in the mine's long wall gate roads in advance of the retreating long wall production unit.

WDS has been working for Xstrata Coal at the Tahmoor Colliery since 2002.
