
WorleyParsons Ltd has won a USD 250 million contract with Fortescue Metals Group Ltd to provide engineering services to expand port facilities in Western Australia.
The engineering, procurement and construction management work would help Fortescue increase iron ore throughput at the Anderson Point facilities at Port Hedland to 155 million tonnes per annum from 55 million tonnes.
The project will be staged, with the first stage to be completed by the end of 2011 and the final phase by the end of 2012.
