Xstrata Plc said its ability to transport coal by rail to Richards Bay Coal Terminal has been affected by derailments of coal trains operated by Transnet Ltd. following heavy rainfall in South Africa.

Xstrata Coal South Africa said that “This has resulted in pressure on stocks at RBCT, which may impact some vessel loadings.”

It added that “It’s working with RBCT to manage any potential delays.”
