ArcelorMittal’s Ukrainian unit said steel production fell by 5.9% in October from the same month a year ago as the mill continues to upgrade, necessitating the stopping of some equipment.

ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih said that output declined to 527,900 tonnes from 560,800 tonnes.

According to the statement, steel production declined to 4.6 million tonnes in the first ten months of the year, from 5.09 million tonnes in the same period last year.
