
PTI reported that the public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited a premier engineering enterprise in energy related and infrastructure sector as part of enhancing overseas business plans to set up a marketing office in Kazakhstan.
A company sources said that BHEL had already signed a MoU with TGR of Hungary for exploring opportunities for the supply and renovation and maintenance of boilers in European and Commonwealth countries. It had executed several contracts in these regions including a contract for 40 MW gas turbine generator set in Kazakhstan. Currently, BHEL is executing 2 hydro power projects in Tajikistan and a contract for supply of transformers to Azerbaijan.
The sources said that recently, BHEL had bagged INR 270 crore order for supplying one 120 MW co generation power plant at Grodno in Belarus. It was the first-ever export order for 120 MW gas turbine generator based co generation plant, booster, compressor, heat recovery steam generator with auxiliaries and automatic process control system.
