SteelOrbis reported that Ural Steel, the steel producing subsidiary of Russian iron ore and steel producer Metalloinvest Holding plans at the end of May-beginning of June to stop operations at its continuous billet caster No. 2 for two and a half weeks in order to carry out reconstruction work.

According to the report, the reconstruction in question is directed towards increasing the quality of final products and towards cutting expenses and production costs.
