Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, ChTPZ Group on November 5th produced the first lot of big diameter pipes from steel made on MMK Mill 5000. The pipes 1020 mm in dia. 11 mm wall thickness and K52 strength class were manufactured to current orders for oil and gas companies.

Specialists of the Plant noted high quality and performance of the supplied steel. After passing certain tests the pipes will be dispatched to the customers. In the future steel made on Mill 5000 will be supplied to Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant for manufacture of single-seamed big diameter pipes in a new electric welding plant the commissioning of which is scheduled for 2010.
