
Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant, Russian producer of welded and seamless steel pipes and tubes in the August to September period of the current year it will supply 40,000 tonnes of steel pipes produced at its Vysota 239 pipe electric-welding workshop to the Southern Corridor gas pipeline project of Russian gas monopoly Gazprom.
The pipes will have a diameter of 1,420 mm and a wall thickness of 21.6 mm with a working pressure of 9.8 Mpa. Of strength grade K60, the pipes will also have external and internal three-layer anti-corrosion coating.
The Southern Corridor gas pipeline will enable supply of additional natural gas volumes to Russia's central and southern regions and will also ensure uninterrupted gas supplies for the South Stream gas pipeline which will supply European countries via the Black Sea.
